Description
School leadership requires a high level of commitment, availability, and responsibility.
Between managing daily emergencies, supporting teams, steering the educational vision, and responding to a constant flow of demands, it can be difficult to maintain a sustainable balance and preserve one's personal resources.
This training offers school leaders a structured opportunity to step back, reflect on their professional practice, identify the sources of overload, and better understand the mechanisms that can gradually lead to exhaustion.
The goal is not only to prevent burnout, but also to help participants create the conditions for healthy, fruitful, and lasting engagement in service of their mission.
Through a series of self-assessment exercises, participants will take stock of their current situation and identify both the factors that nourish their energy and commitment and those that drain them, scatter them, or push them beyond their limits.
Particular attention will be given to personal strengths, areas of vulnerability, recurring behavioral patterns, and the responsibilities assumed on a daily basis.
Structured benchmarks and practical insights will make it possible to address key topics such as overload, prioritization, personal boundaries, energy management, and the responsibility of leadership.
Participants will also explore the professional virtues that support sound judgment and sustainable leadership, including prudence, courage, temperance, and justice.
The training is based on an active learning approach combining conceptual input, reflection exercises, collective intelligence, and concrete experimentation.
The interval between the two sessions will allow participants to test certain ideas and practices in their professional context, observe the results obtained, and gradually refine their approach.
Drawing on the collective wisdom of the group and the support of the trainer-coach, participants will deepen their reflection and develop a personalized action plan.
This may include clarifying priorities, adopting new organizational practices, establishing restorative routines, improving delegation, managing demands more effectively, or rebalancing their level of involvement.
By the end of the program, participants will have a clearer understanding of their personal and professional balance, as well as concrete tools to support their commitment, exercise their leadership with greater discernment, and remain fully present to their mission over the long term.
Learning progression: reflection and self-assessment, conceptual structuring, group discussion, experimentation between sessions, and consolidation through a personal action plan.
Topics covered: overload, fragmentation, balance, role clarity, responsibility, prioritization, energy management, boundaries, professional virtues, delegation, and sustainable commitment.
